International E-Publishing Course ADB in Munich

From 7 th to 11th May 2012, the Akademie des Deutschen Buchhandels (Academy of the German Book Trade) is staging an International E-Publishing Course in Munich.

In the age of growing digitalization and increased online activity, media enterprises and publishers face the challenge of building up and consolidating e-publishing know-how within their companies.

The Academy’s five-day International E-Publishing Course has been designed to equip management executives with the knowledge, insight and skills to develop successful digital publishing models.

The course covers all the stages of realizing e-business in publishing houses from strategy development to digital marketing and technical implementation. The participants will gain an awareness of all the steps involved in the development of digital products (from initial conception and planning through to launch) and learn project management processes and production issues.

Excellent speakers from the e-business and the publishing industry will share the lessons that have been learned by pioneering digital publishers along with techniques and methods that have proven to be profitable.

The speakers will include: Dr. Harald Henzler (Publishing Consultant), Stefan Huegel (Director Online, IDG Business Media) and Christian Kohl (Senior Manager E-Production, Walter de Gruyter).
