Geely Injected Fresh Vigor into Product and System Output as It Extends Its Global Presence
As Geely edges closer to the critical juncture of its new energy transformation surge, intensifying its pursuit of international market opportunities and broadening its worldwide reach is the strategic leap that propels Geely towards becoming „China’s sole global automotive group.“
On 10 September, Geely Auto Group made a splash at the EVA Frankfurt by unveiling nearly ten cutting-edge electrified models across its trio of automotive brands. Alongside this showcase, the Group highlighted its cutting-edge, homegrown intelligent technologies, which span the Geely Short Blade Battery, the Golden Battery, the SE1000 chip, the 800V charging pile, and Lynk & Co’s advanced EV technologies. Moreover, Geely marked a milestone by officially introducing its first-ever global model, the Geely E5. This strategic launch underlines Geely’s dedication to prying open the global new energy vehicle market with its high-value „smart premium car“ that leverage the Group’s state-of-the-art electrification and intelligent systems.
At the same time, the „Geely Global Test Base No. 5 – European Test Base“ was formally unveiled in Frankfurt, Germany. The European Test Base boasts a robust suite of development and verification capabilities, encompassing European adaptability, functional testing, chassis development and calibration, dynamic performance evaluation, and certification compliance. It is designed to comprehensively support the development and testing of a diverse array of energy models, ranging from fuel-based to pure electric, hybrid, and methanol-powered vehicles. This facility will streamline Geely’s product adaptation and functional testing efforts within Europe, expedite the process of obtaining European regulatory certifications, and integrate European expertise into Geely’s global development and verification framework, thereby reinforcing the company’s commitment to establishing a worldwide network of research and testing infrastructure.
At present, Geely Auto Group boasts a global brand network, a global technology system, and a global product matrix. As the solitary Asian representative within the IATF, Geely is poised to emerge as a preeminent technology company, wielding significant global competitive power and influence in the realms of smart electric mobility and energy services. The dispatch of its products and validation systems that meet stringent global standards to Europe signals Geely’s strategic intent to ramp up its investments in Europe, to accelerate the expansion of its global footprint, and to vigorously pursue the distinction of being „China’s sole global automotive group.“
