Feel the Beat: Melody Live Kicks off with Release of Their First Single

Melody Live paves way for the honing of the musically-inclined young children. It features the single “Feel the Beat” by Canadian Musician Carl Lenox. This single was released February 17. It is included in an 8 song CD slated to be released in mid-May.

New band MELODY LIVE (an all-girl animated band) created by Carl Lenox mastermind behind The Doodlebops – the hit musical show on CBC and Disney channel worldwide, is set to add a positive contribution to the development of young children. The main aim of the website is to use multimedia platforms such as CDs / downloads, mobile game apps, books / e-books, videos and merchandise to augment an out of the box type of learning. The virtual band is composed of Ava, Charlie, Katie, Nicki, and the latest addition to the group, Mia. All of them performs every Saturday night for the entire neighborhood as assisted by their cool and cute dog Bongo.

Some other songs featured in the site include: “Girl Power,” “Believe in Yourself,” “I love my Life,” and the special song being performed by the girls while they are getting ready for their show, the “Melody Live Pledge.” All of their music has a positive theme which is meant to promote motivation and self-consciousness in its young listeners. Melody Live also aims for more than just music-oriented entertainment for kids, so they feature other perks such as a karaoke in which kids of all ages can sing-along. The e-book portion (click here for an exclusive preview) of the site also features a book in which fans can read how the newest recruit Mia was able to join the band after moving into the neighborhood.

„Feel the Beat“ marks the starting point for Melody Live and is the presages of the upcoming same-named album. The song, “FEEL THE BEAT” is available for $0.99 in iTunes.

More on the Musical Geniuses

Carl Lenox is also the musical director behind other hit kids TV shows including Rolie Polie Olie, The Care Bears, Franklin The Turtle, Marvin The Tap Dancing Horse, Babar, Sesame Park, Pippi Longstocking, Snowden’s Christmas, The Santa Claus Brother, Gotta Catch Santa Claus, Justin Time and Richard Scarry’s Busytown Mysteries.

The idea and the concept of Melody Live came to be after the performances of his three granddaughters in The Doodlebops, Busytown Mysteries and Justine Time. The three girls asked their grandfather if they could create a record out of their own Girl Power, giving birth to the full production of Melody Live. Now, the family is happily in production with one of the iconic pop stars of all time, Lisa Dalbello.

Jeff Rogers (Manager of Crash Test Dummies and Grammy Nominated producer of Moby’s Play DVD) and Rob Heydon (Juno Award Winning video director and producer of feature films Irvine Welsh’s Ecstasy, Midnight Sun) are both producers and partners in the multi-media project.
