Bornemann Gewindetechnik helps Belgic astronomers to gaze at the stars again

In the beginning of 17th century humanity started to explore the outer space, develop first telescopes, and made more and more new discoveries in astronomy science. Bornemann Gewindetechnik recently became a (small) part of this exciting science too.

We are proud that we could help the renowned Royal Observatory of Belgium to get the solar dome of its observatory back to operation. The dome was built at the end of the XIX century and still shelters today important instruments which allow the observation of the solar activity. Threaded components produced by Bornemann Gewindetechnik secure the smooth movement of the shutters and therefore allow the equatorial table to obtain important data from outer space.

“For almost 30 years our Company supplies a wide range of industries with high quality threaded components which are very precise, customized and sometimes out of very exotic materials like titanium, Inconel or duplex steels. We are always happy to serve new applications, especially such exciting one as outer space science.“ Says Sergii Goman, international sales manager at Bornemann Gewindetechnik. www.bornemann.de

Bornemann Gewindetechnik produces any kind of threads such as single and multi-start threads, trapezoidal threads, buttress threads, module threads, coarse threads, cross threads, round threads, sharp threads, screw conveyors and special threads. Bornemann has gained a leading position in the production of threads in Europe with over 30 years of experience.

In particular, in qualitatively very demanding industries such as drive technology, medical technology, food processing, offshore applications or military technology – custom made components from Bornemann are present. For these applications Borneman Gewindetechnik provides threaded parts with a very high degree of customization based on individual customer requirements.
